Bahja Rodriguez
Traditional PR · Media Relations · Press Release Writing · Event Coordination
PROBLEM
During her solo career following the OMG Girlz, Bahja Rodriguez needed publicity that connected her existing recognition with her individual artist identity and album release. The challenge was introducing that next chapter through relevant media coverage and opportunities for fans to connect with her directly.

SOLUTION
D’Shonda Brown led traditional PR, press release writing, and media placement efforts, working closely with Bahja’s mother to support her solo-era publicity.
The work extended from interviews and editorial coverage to an exclusive album-release meet-and-greet at Clark Atlanta University. Coordinated in partnership with Georgia Media and CAU’s Mass Media Department, the event brought the release into a campus setting and created a direct connection between Bahja and her audience.
THE RESULT
The engagement secured placements across seven named media outlets and platforms, alongside an exclusive university meet-and-greet supporting Bahja’s album release. Together, the press and event work created multiple opportunities to share her solo story through editorial coverage, interviews, and direct audience engagement.
An artist’s next chapter needs a clear story and places to tell it. This engagement connected publicity, release communications, and a campus experience around Bahja’s solo direction.
