Sherita Cherry: EntrepreneuHERs Who Pop
Experiential Strategy · Event Planning · Talent Wrangling · Branding · Public Relations
PROBLEM
Create a pop-up shop and party for Sherita Cherry that connected women entrepreneurs with an engaging shopping and social experience. The work required a cohesive promotional identity, participating businesses and talent, and sponsor coordination to bring the concept together.

SOLUTION
D’Shonda Brown developed the event and connected its creative direction with planning, publicity, and participant coordination. Art direction and copy across marketing materials, social content, and press releases established a celebratory identity rooted in beauty, entrepreneurship, and community.
The promotional materials paired pink, gold, and sparkling textures with beauty and party imagery, presenting the pop-up shop and entertainment as one experience. Sherita Cherry was featured as the host, with DJ C Watts providing the advertised musical component.
Behind the creative, D’Shonda coordinated local Atlanta entrepreneurs, talent, and sponsor participation. Gold Blooded Communications served as the public contact for sponsorship opportunities and event information.

THE RESULT
The engagement secured placements across seven named media outlets and platforms, alongside an exclusive university meet-and-greet supporting Bahja’s album release. Together, the press and event work created multiple opportunities to share her solo story through editorial coverage, interviews, and direct audience engagement.
An artist’s next chapter needs a clear story and places to tell it. This engagement connected publicity, release communications, and a campus experience around Bahja’s solo direction.
